What In The World Is An Elvis Gig?
The "Elvis Gig" is how it all
started! Elvis
Presley tribute artist
Bob
Rosencrantz needed a backup group and the skeleton of
the One Spirit Gospel Quartet was born.

Elvis won two Grammy awards throughout his career, and they
were both for his performances of old time Gospel songs.
Unless you are a follower of Gospel music or a fan of Elvis
you probably do not know that Elvis had a great love for
Gospel music and was a leading force in the acceptance of
this music throughout the nation. Although cautioned
not to do so, he broke ground in the 1960's by performing a
Gospel hymn on the Ed Sullivan Show, and introduced millions
of people to the
music
that he really loved.
One Spirit Gospel Quartet carries on this tradition by
teaming up with Bob and performing the old Gospel hymns in
the same style as Elvis once did. We also have a great
show of Elvis rock and roll that will have your crowd
dancing in the isles! As always, these shows are
performed with live music, not with recorded tracks, so
Elvis can interact with the crowd and get them totally
involved.
Our rock and roll show includes the One Spirit Gospel
Quartet as male backup and can also include three of the
area's truly great female jazz singers as backup, with
keyboard, drums, trumpet, trombone, sax, flute, and guitar.
We can also do a simpler version. Instrumentation for
the Gospel show can also vary as the situation warrants.
With either show your audience members will have an
experience that will have them talking for months.
